Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Eduardo Camavinga who is currently on the books of Rennes.
The 18-year-old has been linked with several big clubs after he impressed with his performances for the Ligue 1 side and the France national team.
But Manchester United, who missed out on Jude Bellingham to Borussia Dortmund last summer, want to act fast and bring the French footballer to Old Trafford.
According to French publication RMC (via the Mirror), the Red Devils are ready to meet the agents of the midfielder next week to secure a deal.
The Red and Blacks are said to be ready to cash in on him as the player’s current contract is set to expire in 2022 and they don’t want to lose him on a free transfer next year.
Camavinga started his football career by joining the youth academy of Rennes at the age of 11. He earned his professional debut for the Ligue 1 side in April 2019 against Angers, thus becoming the club’s youngest footballer to play for the senior side.
The 18-year-old has clocked up 82 appearances across all competitions for the French side so far, netting two goals and creating five assists in the process (stats from Transfermarkt). Best of Luck Eduardo Camavinga.
