Manchester United To Offer Jesse Lingard Three-Year Deal

According to a report from the Mirror, Manchester United are set to offer Jesse Lingard a new three-year contract.

It has been reported that the Red Devils are ready to offer £130,000-a-week wages to the 28-year-old who has a year remaining on his current deal.

Lingard struggled to get game time at Old Trafford during the first half of the 2020-21 season, but he subsequently joined West Ham United on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

The attacking midfielder was highly impressive for the Hammers during the loan spell, with the English footballer netting nine goals and assisting five in 16 appearances.

David Moyes’ side want to sign Lingard permanently from Manchester United but it is said that they are unlikely to meet the Red Devils’ £25 million valuation.

The 28-year-old is an academy graduate of the Manchester side who rose through its ranks to earn his competitive debut in August 2014 against Swansea City in the Premier League.

So far, he has clocked up 210 appearances across all competitions for United, netting 33 goals and creating 20 assists in the process (stats from Transfermarkt).

Jesse has the distinction of winning the Europa League, FA Cup and the EFL Cup in his career so far. Best of Luck Jesse Lingard.
