According to a report from the Daily Mail, Leicester City are eyeing a move for Ryan Christie who is currently on the books of Celtic.
The Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers is said to be an admirer of the 26-year-old, having worked with him during his time in Glasgow.
The East Midlands side were also keen on Odsonne Edouard but they were frustrated in their attempt to sign the highly-rated forward.
Now they have turned their attention to Ryan Christie who has been at the Scottish club since joining them in September 2015.
However, Leicester City face competition from French clubs Nice and Monaco who are also interested to secure the services of the Scotland international.
Ryan Christie didn’t have a great 2020-21 season with the Bhoys. He clocked up 46 appearances across all competitions for Celtic, scoring seven goals and creating 15 assists in the process (stats from Transfermarkt).
However, Rodgers is still keen on a reunion with the talented midfielder.
Ryan Christie’s current contract with the Hoops is set to expire in January, which means the Scottish club only have this summer to secure a transfer fee for the player.
He has made 142 appearances across all competitions for the Bhoys so far, netting 40 goals and creating 41 assists in the process.
