Paul Pogba has denied reports that he is in discussions with Manchester United regarding a contract extension.

The 28-year-old has only about a year remaining on his current deal with the club and there were reports that claimed the Red Devils have started talks with the player regarding a new contract.

With only over 12 months remaining on his current deal, United reportedly feared that the midfielder would run out of his contract and leave Old Trafford for nothing next summer.

Pogba, who is currently with the national side preparing for the European Championship, denied that he is in talks with his club about an extension.

He told RMC Sport: “I have one year of my contract left, everyone knows that. There haven’t been any concrete offers yet. We finished the season, as I said there was the Europa League final (which United lost to Villarreal on penalties), and after that, we finished the holidays.”

Pogba joined the academy of Le Havre in 2007 before leaving for United in 2009.

He signed for Juventus in 2012 due to limited opportunities at the Theatre of Dreams. The 28-year-old enjoyed great successes during his time at the Allianz Arena. He won four Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia, and two Supercoppa Italiana titles with the Old Lady.

The France international returned to Manchester United in the summer of 2016 in a deal worth £89.3 million. Since he arrived at Old Trafford, he has made 134 league appearances for the club, with 28 goals to his name.

Good Luck Paul Pogba.
