Barcelona are reportedly interested to sign Raheem Sterling who is currently on the books of Manchester City.

According to SPORT, the Catalans believe they can raise funds in the coming weeks to bring a big name to the Camp Nou, and Sterling could be a player they sign this summer.

The 26-year-old’s current contract with the Citizens is set to expire in 2023, but the Premier League outfit are open to selling the English footballer, according to a report from The Daily Mail last month.

He enjoyed a mediocre 2020-21 season for City, racking up 31 league appearances and scoring 10 goals. While the previous season saw him scoring 20 goals in 33 league appearances for the Manchester side.

Sterling joined Manchester City in the summer of 2015 from Liverpool in a deal worth £44 million. He took his game to another level under Spanish boss Pep Guardiola, especially his finishing saw great improvement.

Since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium, the 26-year-old has clocked up 292 appearances across all competitions, scoring 114 goals and creating 87 assists in the process (stats from Transfermarkt).

He has also won three Premier League titles with City, as well as five EFL Cups and an FA Cup.

Good Luck Raheem Sterling.
