Arsenal Strengthen Interest in Brighton’s Yves Bissouma
According to 90min, Arsenal will strengthen their interest in Yves Bissouma who is currently on the books of Brighton & Hove Albion.
It has been reported that Liverpool and Leicester City are also keen to secure the services of the 24-year-old. However, the Gunners are said to be the firm favourites to land the Mali international.
Mikel Arteta’s side endured a difficult Premier League season, with the London side finishing well outside the European qualification spots at the end of the campaign. They are looking to bolster their midfield ranks in the summer and the Malian footballer is said to be one of their top targets.
Bissouma started his senior career at AS Real Bamako before joining Ligue 1 side Lille in the summer of 2016. He made 55 appearances across all competitions for Los Dogues, scoring four goals and creating two assists in the process.
The talented midfielder joined Brighton from Lille in the summer of 2018 on a five-year deal. He initially struggled to perform well in the English top-flight but soon established his place in the Seagulls starting XI, with his displays starting to attract attention from several big clubs.
Since his arrival at the Falmer Stadium, the 24-year-old has clocked up 96 appearances across all competitions for the Albion, scoring four goals and creating an assist in the process (stats from Transfermarkt).
Best of luck Yves Bissouma.
