Eden Hazard is reportedly interested to leave Real Madrid in the summer, with the Belgian not able to live up to his expectations at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to journalist Edu Aguirre on television show El Chiringuito, the experienced winger is looking to exit the Madrid based side and is keen to return to Chelsea.
The 30-year-old joined Los Blancos in the summer of 2019 in a deal worth up to £130 million from the Pensioners. However, he failed to hit the heights in Madrid, with the Belgium international not contributing much in terms of goals and assists.
Since his arrival at the La Liga side, the experienced footballer earned 43 appearances across all competitions, with only five goals and eight assists to his name.
However, when he was at Chelsea, he was providing far better performances. The talented winger clocked up 352 total appearances for the Blues, scoring 110 goals and creating 92 assists (stats from Transfermarkt).
His current deal with the Spanish side is set to expire in 2024, and he is one of Real’s highest wage earners. Due to the financial situation of the club, president Florentino Perez is said to be willing to sell the 30-year-old to make room for better prospects.
Best Of Luck Eden Hazard.
