Liverpool cruised to a 4-1 victory over Brentford in Saturday’s Premier League fixture at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The result means the Reds have maintained their lead at the top of the league standings.
Darwin Nunez broke the deadlock with a superb chip on 35 minutes before Alexis Mac Allister added another early in the second-half.
Mohamed Salah extended their advantage with a crisp finish, but Ivan Toney pulled one back for the hosts.
But that only served as a minor consolation for the Bees as Cody Gakpo sealed full points for the Merseyside giants with a late fourth.
However, Liverpool’s excellent victory against Brentford was marred by injuries to their three key players.
Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota came off injured in the opening half, while Nunez was also taken off at the break.
Jota’s knock looked to be the most serious as he left on a stretcher.
This is a big blow for Liverpool ahead of their important Carabao Cup final with Chelsea next Sunday.
Jota has been one of the key players for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, featuring in 28 matches in all competitions.
Nunez has also started 16 Premier League matches, but it looks his injury is a minor one.
Klopp is already dealing with fitness issues to Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alisson Becker and Thiago Alcantara.
The German boss will hope to have his key players back soon as he aims to win all the available trophies in his final season at Anfield.
